On May 8th, the 5th Academic Forum of Beijing Institute of Technology Xu Teli School/ School of Future Technology, BIT was successfully held on Zhongguancun Campus.  Zhang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Institute of Technology, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dean of XUTELI School/ School of Future Technology, BIT, Long Teng, Executive Vice President, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Xiaofeng, Vice President, Hu Haiyan, Chairman of Forum Academic Committee and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hou Xiao, Vice Chairman of Forum Academic Committee, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Dean of the School of Astronautics attended the forum.

The forum consists of five parts: the opening ceremony, the invited report, the conference report, the sub-forum report, the closing ceremony and the awards.  To realize the radiation and sharing of high-quality academic and educational resources, some links of this forum are also open to the public online through the "Yanhe Classroom".

       

At the opening ceremony, Wang Xiaofeng delivered a speech on behalf of BIT. He spoke highly of the important role of the academic forum in promoting the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents, and affirmed the talent cultivation characteristics of XUTELI School and School of Future Technologies, BIT; Wang Xiaofeng pointed out that the University will further gather together  High-quality educational resources, continue to support the construction of first-class honor colleges and future technical colleges.

      

At the opening ceremony, the appointment ceremony for the appointment of academician tutors and the chief professor of XUTELI School / School of Future Technologies, BIT was held.  Zhang Jun issued a letter of appointment to Hu Haiyan and Hou Xiao as academician supervisors and issued a letter of appointment to Longteng as the chief professor of the School of Future Technologies, BIT.

   

Zhang Jun announced the official opening of the fifth academic forum of XUTELI School / School of Future Technologies, BIT.

       

In the specially invited report session, Academician Long Teng and Academician Hou Xiao made wonderful reports on "Theory and Key Technologies of New System Radar System" and "Overview of Aerospace and Power Development" respectively.  In the report section of the conference, five student speakers including Zhao Zichen, a 2015 undergraduate student of XUTELI School, reported their respective scientific research results.  Invited reports and conference reports were presided over by Academician Hu Haiyan.

    

The forum consists of three sub-forums: "Computer and Control", "Information and Electronics" and "Mechanics and Transport", which are chaired by the chairmen of the sub-forums, Professor Xia Yuanqing, Professor Sheng Xinqing, and Professor Liu Hui.  26 student reporters reported.  After expert review, 3 best paper awards and 3 best performance awards were selected.

The forum was lively and interactive, with a lively atmosphere, and more than 3,000 viewers watched the online live broadcast of the forum.
