In order to further deepen the collaborative cultivation of academies and colleges, promote the revision and completion of the training program of XUTELI School/School of Future Technologies, and ensure the cultivation quality of top-notch innovative talents, BIT held a seminar centering on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in the Liang Xiang campus on the afternoon of April 19. Xiao Xuan, Fan Wenhui and Zhang Wei, Deputy Minister of Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Feng Huihua, Executive Deputy Dean of XUTELI School/School of Future Technologies, Zhao Hao, Deputy Dean of XUTELI School, and more than 20 heads of relevant professional colleges and teacher representatives attended the seminar. The seminar was chaired by Xiao Xuan.

Xiao Xuan introduced the background, purpose and agenda of the seminar. Zhi Junge, Deputy Dean of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Yan Tianyi, Deputy Dean of School of Life Science, Si Liming, Deputy Dean of School of Integrated Circuits and Electronics, Yang Kai, Deputy Dean of School of Information and Electronics, Zhang Yanjun, Deputy Dean of the School of Cyberspace Science and Technology, Huang Yifan, Deputy Dean of School of Optics and Photonics, Xu Houbao, Deputy Dean of School of Mathematics and Statistics, presented special topic reports successively, introducing the overview of the cultivation of undergraduate talents in their schools, emphasizing the reform measures and assumptions on the revision of cultivation programs of top-notch innovative talents, course construction and faculty investment. After their presentations, the participants conducted exchanges and discussions on the next step of teaching reform, such as collaborative cultivation of academies and colleges, cultivation management of top-notch innovative talents and dual-degree construction.

At the end of the seminar, Feng Huihua expressed his gratitude to these professional schools for their meticulous preparations, saying that the seminar would play an important role in promoting the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in XUTELI School, as the extension of the promotion meeting of collaboration cultivation in academies and colleges of BIT. As a special zone for the reform of cultivation of  top-notch innovative talents of BIT, XUTELI  School will continue to collaborate with all professional schools to implement the school’s annual key task of reform of talents cultivation, continue to promote the reform of cultivation model and program of Xu Teli Yingcai class, and create a set of supply-side elements that can effectively support high-level cultivation of top-notch innovative talents.
