SFTs Students Visited the China-North Vehicle Research Institute

On the afternoon of April 5, 2022, students from the School of FutureTechnology, BIT visited the China-North Vehicle Research Institute to strengthen the students' understanding of cutting-edge technology and improve their scientific quality. Du Zhiqi, chief communication expert of armored vehicles of the China Association for Science and Technology, who is one of the top ten popular science figures in 2021, Dong Yuankun, director of the Scientific Research Department of the Northern Vehicle Research Institute, Wang Yafei, director of the Human Resources Department, and teachers from the School of Future Technology, BIT attended the event.


The students watched the promotional video of the China-North Vehicle Research Institute, visited the equipment exhibition hall, and learned about the latest equipment in my country. They grasped the development situation of my country's national defense technology and focused on its intelligent technology and innovative functions. And they learned about various Equipment used in different scenarios and its functional advantages. The students developed a strong interest and carried out in-depth thinking and discussions on the cutting-edge technologies applied to our country's advanced equipment.


After the visit, the students communicated with the experts of the institute. Du Zhiqi discussed the topic of "How to be an Excellent Engineer", shared his learning experience and life insights with the students, and talked about how to improve their scientific quality. Du Zhiqi used the twelve graduation requirements for undergraduate engineering and the 2020 "Vision Report" issued by the American Academy of Engineering to point out the capabilities and qualities that future engineers should have. He used the five imaginary enemies of JADC2 in the United States to motivate students to study science and technology, to solve the problem of my country's stuck neck as soon as possible.
